Family and Faith

At the core of Coach Allen’s life is an unwavering commitment to his faith and his family — his wife Alyssa and children, Jaiden, Raelynn Olivia, and Sutton. This foundation of love, faith, and shared values shapes everything he does, both on and off the field. Coach Allen believes that strong relationships build strong programs, and his approach to coaching reflects a desire to lead with integrity, humility, and purpose.

Education & Background

A lifelong learner, Coach Allen holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor — a private Christian university in Belton, TX — as well as an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Coaching Pedagogy from Valdosta State University. His academic focus in physical education, sports administration, and leadership development informs the holistic systems he uses to build student-athletes in body, mind, and character.

 

Military Service

Coach Allen served in the U.S. Army from 2012 to 2016, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2014–2015. He brings the same discipline, mission-first mindset, and accountability from his military service into his coaching career. As a combat veteran and team leader, he understands how to develop systems, inspire unity, and lead under pressure — qualities that have proven invaluable in the world of high school football.

Coaching Career

Now finishing his third year as Head Coach at South Paulding High School (6A), Coach Allen has transformed the Spartan football program through clear expectations, player development, and culture-driven leadership.

 

Program Achievements (2023–2025):

 

• Playoff Appearance in first year as Head Coach

• Multiple All-Region Honors each season

• College Signings Each Year – consistently developing athletes to compete at the next level

• Growth in Program Participation and Community Support

• Expanded Budget and Facility Improvements

 

 

In 2024, Coach Allen was selected for the New York Jets’ Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship through Soldiers to Sidelines, serving as a Running Backs Coach Intern during NFL Training Camp. This elite opportunity allowed him to coach alongside NFL position coaches, analyze pro-level film, and bring cutting-edge techniques and practice structure back to his high school program.

 

Previously, he served as Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Pebblebrook High School (7A), where he led record-setting offenses, three straight playoff appearances, and helped place 21 athletes into college. His coaching career spans competitive programs in Georgia, Florida, and Texas (5A to 8A), always rooted in player development, academic accountability, and a relentless standard for excellence.

Coaching Philosophy & Certifications

Coach Allen is a certified USAW Level 1 Coach, High School Strength and Conditioning Specialist (IYCA), NASM Mental Toughness Coach, and is trained in the Tony Franklin System and R4 Offense Concepts. His coaching is driven by three core values:

Coach Allen’s mission is bigger than football. He sees the game as a platform to build leaders, transform communities, and glorify God through excellence. As he continues to lead South Paulding, his focus remains on building a program that outlives the scoreboard — one built on trust, toughness, and transformational leadership.
